Central line–associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) are a significant concern in health care. This project aimed to decrease CLABSIs by improving adherence to a maintenance care bundle. Kamishibai cards are an evidence-based practice to improve communication and adherence to the care bundle. A project team implemented Kamishibai cards with the monthly CLABSI prevention audit at an academic medical center solely focused on cancer care, resulting in a decrease in CLABSI rates for three consecutive months postimplementation.
