How to resolve a kinked dilator during pediatric central venous catheter insertion

Abstract:

Central venous cannulation (CVC) is common in operating theatres and pediatric intensive care units (ICUs). Ultrasound guidance has improved success rates, reduced attempts, and minimized complications in pediatric patients. This report addresses the kinking of the dilator in the CVC line and proposes using an intravenous cannula to solve this issue.
